AZ ChopperCam is based in the metro Phoenix area. More specifically Mesa, Arizona. We offer aerial photography and aerial video servies from traditional manned helicopters & airplanesas well as unmanned remotely controlled helicopters.

In the future we will begin other industrial operations such as HazMat VOC Detection, Geo Survey operations as well as Public Service operations like Search & Rescue.

There are many cases where the use of unmanned helicopters is a great alternative to manned helicopter operations in terms of safety of persons or property on the ground. Our unmanned aircraft are small and less than 15lb in weight. They are powered by reliable 3 phase electric motors. In the rare case that the power system should fail our helicopters are capable of performing an auto-rotation landing under full control.

Why would you use our helicopter system instead of a full-size aerial video helicopter? Primarily, cost! Full size Bell 206 Jet Rangers rent out at about $700-1000/hr. Eurocopter A-Stars rent out at nearly $1200/hr. Also factor in the cost of a cameraman at approx. $150-500/hr and you've got shots that could cost as much as $2,500 or more. We can provide you with the same shots for 80% less.

Our unmanned helicopters are also able to get into smaller quarters and fly lower than a full-size helicopter. Try coming down between two 50' trees just 10' apart and end up just 3' from your subject in a full-size helicopter. Our video is as stable and sometimes MORE stable than full-size helicopter shots.

Noise is also a major concern for some locations. Our helicopter makes about 20% of the noise that a full-size helicopter would make.

Granted, there are many times when a full-size helicopter is the optimum platform and we'll tell you when we feel that's the case, but a majority of the shots you'll require can be shot more efficiently by using our helicopter and the cost will keep you within budget.

Safety is priority #1 when we operate our aircraft. We take the same types of precautions that a full sized manned helicopter operation would take.

Total time from arrival of pilot on site to helicopter ready to begin shooting is usually about 10 minutes.
